Licences for your builds
Every instruction package you unlock records the licence it was unlocked under. Cancelling or changing your plan never removes a completed unlock and never changes the licence recorded on it.
Personal licence (Free, Pro and Premium)
On Free, Pro and Premium, and for single-build unlocks bought on their own, your BricksChat-assisted designs and the instruction packages you unlock are for personal, non-commercial use. You may build them, print them, keep them and share previews of them.
Free accounts can design within their allowance, inspect the interactive 3D build, download their own generated LDraw model, save builds and share a preview. A complete instruction package (the PDF, the parts list and all in-app building steps) is unlocked with a plan allowance or a single-build unlock.
Selling design files, instructions or renders requires the Studio commercial licence.
Studio commercial licence
Each build you unlock while your plan is Studio comes with a worldwide, royalty-free and perpetual licence from BricksChat to sell, distribute and modify its eligible design files (LDraw .ldr and .mpd) and building instructions (the PDF, the parts list and the steps), on your own shop or any marketplace that accepts your work, and to use its eligible renders to promote your work. You may remove BricksChat branding from those exports.
BricksChat does not charge royalties on your sales. The licence continues after you cancel Studio and covers corrections and minor revisions of the same build.
The licence does not grant rights to another designer’s work, third-party brands or trademarks, or creator-catalogue content. Buying, uploading, regenerating or modifying someone else’s design does not give you the right to sell it. BricksChat permits commercial use of eligible generated outputs but does not guarantee that a design is unique, qualifies for copyright protection, or is free of third-party rights. You remain responsible for checking your inputs, the finished build, and the marketplace’s requirements.
Third-party catalogue licences
Parts geometry from the LDraw™ parts library, part and set data from Rebrickable, BrickNet and similar sources remain under their own licences. They are listed separately with each instruction package and are not part of, or changed by, the BricksChat licence. BricksChat is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Rebrickable or the LEGO Group. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group.
When BricksChat shows an official LEGO set that matches your request, its Amazon link is an affiliate link: as an Amazon Associate, BricksChat earns from qualifying purchases. Buying is optional and never changes what Bricky designs.
Earlier exclusive full unlocks
Full unlocks are no longer sold. Full unlocks bought earlier keep the terms they were bought under, including their exclusivity: BricksChat does not publish, resell or reuse those builds without your permission.
Plans and unlocks
Plans renew monthly until you cancel; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month. For web purchases, upgrades are charged the prorated difference right away and downgrades take effect at renewal. For mobile purchases, Apple or Google determines the timing and any charge or credit for plan changes, as shown in its purchase confirmation. Manage or cancel a subscription in the service where you purchased it.
Unused monthly instruction packages do not roll over. Completed unlocks stay yours after you cancel or change plans.
Web prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added at checkout. Mobile prices use your app store’s currency, with the final price and applicable taxes shown by the store before confirmation.
